Quick mornings work before the rush towards Bala, some rain on the way but at least the wind was picking up nicely. Arrived at 2.00 and one other in the water, when he came in shortly after, went for quick chat and he said that the 5.7 he was on was about right, so time for the mended 5.5 again. Clive decided that 6.0 was his choice, he does have a weight advantage and we rigged up a first timer Mark on a 4.2.

The weather was now sunny and ready for a good session, but the first few runs didn’t quite make the back strap and spent a lot of time water starting. After checking on the progress of Mark went out again after a short break and much more like it with a few good runs fully powered up after letting some of the down haul out. A couple of other people out including a woman from Shrewsbury, who I have to say put me to shame, more time on the water needed.

Only real down side of the day was that Clive has yet again managed to crack the front of his board, even with a boom protector.
